The prepainted coils we produce at Tata Steel Nederland are available in a wide variety of finishes. These coils can be used for further manufacturing into construction products such as roof and wall cladding. What makes us different is our approach, we believe in a healthy relationship with our customers and therefore we tailor our products to meet the requirements of the customers.
The product portfolio offers solutions for Building Envelope and Manufactured Goods. There are many applications of prepainted steel, but the main applications are roof and wall cladding. The products are designed with high standards in corrosion protection and UV resistance along with aesthetic appearance for external application. Manufactured Goods involve industrial applications such as garage doors, cold storage, lighting, domestic appliances and door frames. There is a wide range of products available and we are ready to give technical and mill support to our customers.
Sustainability is an important driver in the construction market. The need for transparency extends to the use of products in buildings, and what happens to them in the end of life stage as well.
Tata Steel Nederland offer products with a long life expectancy thanks to excellent UV and corrosion resistance, but at same time there is an ambitious programme for low carbon developments and circular products for the near future.
Tata Steel Nederland Colors have production sites in The Netherlands and France. In addition we supply our service by many regional sales offices across Europe, see the different blue stars in the map.
IJmuiden, The Netherlands is an integrated steel production site. Whereas Maubeuge in France is a standalone production site with a cold mill, pickling line, two hot dip galvanize and paint combination lines and in addition it has their own service center. Maubeuge focusses on services and differentiated products recognised for our laminated products such as Advantica®, L Control, CL Clean and L Décor. The site in Maubeuge has an ambition to become carbon neutral by 2030. So far, 20% carbon reduction has already been achieved thanks to a massive investment programme which includes installation of an RTO (Reduction Thermal Oxidiser), cooling towards and part of the heating network.
