Our largest production site is located in the IJmond region: Tata Steel IJmuiden. The former Blast Furnaces have been part of Tata Steel since 2010. Employing over 9,000 people, the production facility is unique in its kind. It has a completely continuous production process on site: from the arrival and processing of raw materials to the production of hot metal and the transformation into the finished product steel.
The nearby North Sea also offer several benefits. First of all in terms of logistics. But also for our ambition to make green steel and create a nice living environment. We are investing heavily into making IJmuiden a global example for green steel.
Downstream Europe processes our steel for high-grade applications. We offer various possibilities in post-processing to meet the most challenging customer requirements. This is where the full potential of our steel comes into its own.
