Board of Management
Hans van den Berg (1962) has been working at Tata Steel since 1990, when it was still called Hoogovens. He has worked in a number of departments, including Research & Development, the Blast Furnaces, the Dasic Oxygen Plant, the Cold Strip Mill and the Direct Sheet Plant. Hans is currently responsible for the Tata Steel plant in IJmuiden, The Netherlands, and was elected CEO of Tata Steel Netherlands in April 2020. With his background in production, he knows how to set priorities for the company.
Tom Eussen (1971) started his career at Koninklijke Hoogovens in 1996. Through the years, he held various roles, including strategic, operational and general management positions throughout Europe. Most recently, his responsibilities included Downstream Operations of Tata Steel Europe; he currently is Managing Director of Tata Steel IJmuiden.
Effective September 1, 2024, Hans Turkesteen has joined Tata Steel Nederland (TSN) as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Board of Directors.
During his career, Hans Turkesteen has held multiple roles as CFO of companies such as Imtech, Stork and Intertrust, with a focus on major transformations and improving business results.
Gunilla Saltin, who is a Swedish national, began her career in R&D engineering at STFI (now part of RISE) in 1988, after which she joined Modo Paper. She then held various managerial positions during her career at Södra Cell, one of the world's largest pulp producers, until mid-2019. In August that year, she joined Austria's Mondi's Uncoated Fine Paper business. Gunilla was appointed Group Technical & Sustainability Director in December 2019. In February 2020, she became CEO there. Gunilla joined Tata Steel Netherlands on 1 November 2023 in the position of Managing Director Tata Steel Downstream Europe. She is also a member of the Board of Management.
Supervisory Board
T. V. Narendran is an Indian business executive. He is global CEO and Managing Director of Tata Steel, one of the largest steel producers in the world. He is the current President of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
As of 1 September Herman Dijkhuizen has joined the Supervisory Board of TSN. The appointment of Mr. Dijkhuizen has been made upon the recommendation by the Central Works Council of Tata Steel Nederland (COR).
Herman Dijkhuizen succeeds Marius Jonkhart, who has been a member and vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board since 1 January 2006 and chairman of the Audit Committee since its establishment. As member of the Supervisory Board, Herman Dijkhuizen will become the new Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Claudia Zuiderwijk is a member of the Supervisory Board of Tata Steel Nederland (since 2024). She is General Manager of the GVB (formerly Municipal Transport Company) in Amsterdam and has extensive experience as a director and supervisor in change processes in the business community and the semi-governmental sector. She previously served as a supervisory director at KPN and APG, among others.
In January 2022, Henrik was appointed Vice-President of European Corporate Affairs at Tata Steel Limited, representing Tata Steel's European activities. Before that, he was Chief Executive Officer of Tata Steel in Europe from 2019. In addition, he assumed the responsibilities of the Chief Technical Officer and Chief Commercial Officer following a reorganisation of the company's Executive Committee in early 2021.
